In the Holy Month of Ramadan, Muslims fast, pray and read Quran. Usually Ramadan comes in Summer. So because of the hot weather in the middle east, Arabs drink some unique juices which you will never find except in Arabian countries. These juices are rich and full of calories. That’s why Arabs drink these juices to give them freshness and energy to fast the next day. These drinks are:

Amar Al Din:

It is one of the most famous drinks in Ramadan. It is very healthy and delicious. It is made from apricots Fruit. Arabs drink it because it is excellent for the digestive system.

Kharoub:

It is a delicious traditional Egyptian drink. It is rich in protein and antioxidants. It helps the fasting person endure longer hours of fasting. It is made from the fruit of the carob tree. It is very sweet but delicious juice.

Erk Sous:

A famous drink in the Arab world, especially in Egypt and Syria. It’s made from licorice roots that’s why some calls it Licorice juice. It is delicious and very sweet.

From the name, it is simply Balah which is dates soaked in Laban which is milk. You can drink and eat it in the same time. It is very sweet and delicious. It is full calories and calcium so it gives power and energy.

Karkadeh:

Is a well known drink in the middle east. There is a very interesting information about Karkadeh (Hibiscus Tea). It helps in reducing and raising blood pressure. When you drink it cold it reduces blood pressure while drinking it hot it raises the blood pressure. So Muslims drink it cold in Ramadan because it is very refreshing too .

It is well known in the Arabian countries especially in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. It is made differently in the Arabian countries. That’s why you will find it made from Coco Nuts, Barley, or Oatmeal and of course spices and sugar. It is very delicious and refreshing.

Laymun Bel Naenae:

It’s a very simple but delicious drink. It’s made from lemon, mint, sugar and water. It’ also called Mint Lemonade. It is very refreshing and tasty. If you feel super full after a strong meal, have some Laymun Bel Naenae. 

Vimto:

It is not well known in every Middle eastern Countries. However, it is so delicious and refreshing. You must have it on your table at Iftar and Suhoor.
