A Doll’s House by Henrik Ibsen

Henrik Ibsen the author of Doll’s House book

A Doll's House is a realistic modern tragedy. It shows how men saw women as shallow, empty headed and dull characters. It’s about a housewife who has no responsibilities or even a personality. She only cares about decorations and her looks which made her literally a doll in a house. It is such an amazing play showing the saddest truth about how women were recognized and treated at that time. It spots the light on the role of women and how they should appreciate themselves. How women should know their roles, worth, and responsibilities. In my opinion, A Doll's House is one of the best symbolic plays out there.
